The activities of the project are organised according to the three main results expected namely:
Result 1 will handle the issue of strengthening the existing institutional and personnel capacities to implement the EE policies and action plans and consists of 4 activities:
1.1: Preparation of an institutional assessment report
1.2: Preparation of a roadmap for the enhancement of the institutional capacity of DEEE
1.3: Preparation of a reviewed energy efficiency action plan with recommendations for implementation
1.4: Organisation of hands on trainings on several areas related to energy efficiency
Result 2 focuses on designing and implementing viable tools and instruments for the implementation and monitoring of EE policies. These tools will also help to strengthen capacities to implement the EE policies. Result 2 is organised in 6 activities as follows:
2.1: Preparation of a needs assessment report for development of energy calculation tools
2.2: Definition and development of an energy modelling software
2.3: Calculation of energy savings through different scenarios and policies
2.4: Assessment of regulatory and operational impacts of energy efficiency policies and programs
2.5: Preparation of a guideline to draft national industrial and buildings energy use benchmarks reports to be used as policy instruments.
2.6: Organization of hands on trainings on energy modelling and forecasting.
Result 3 aims at improve the ENVER portal for enhanced data collection and processing to support the development of EE policies.
3.1: Preparation of a gap analysis report on the current ENVER portal
3.2: Improvement of the portal structure so that the portal provides sound energy performance monitoring mechanism.
3.3: Preparation of roadmap for quality assurance of data collection in Building and Industry sectors.
3.4: Organization of trainings for the management and maintenance of the portal.
All activities will take advantage of lessons from EU and international best practices. It will be ensured that the project results are sustainable.
